Liberal John McCallum and Immigration Minister Chris Alexander had a heated exchange in Parliament that ended with Alexander calling the Liberals 'racist.'

    I didn't know it was Liberals who came up with the Canadian Indian Act.

    I had heard it was the model for South African apartheid.
