Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi says he will abolish an unpopular local property tax if he wins this month's elections.

    If he gets elected again Italy should be kicked out of the EU. Or at least diplomatically and financially shunned like what was going to happen to Austria in 2000 when a far-right party became part of the coalition government.

    To be fair, the tax referred to was so complicated, most of the civil serpents had no idea
    how to actually implement it.

    I'm guessing most people never paid it, because the officials couldnt calculate
    the amounts.

    Pretty good guess.


    So, Sylvio has done a very smart thing.. if you somehow paid the tax,
    you get the money back.

    If you didn't, nothing happens.


    Good motivation, he just attracted everyone who owns property in Italy.



    In the end, all it really did was raise the amount of black money
    you had to kick in to buy something.
