Just got my new smart phone yesterday and the fellow who set it up recommended some of these things and I've done them (Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS off). I couldn't believe that just getting my contacts set up, doing some texting and playing around with settings, etc yesterday afternoon damn near completely drained the battery. Definitely a downside but I love the phone!

I keep my WiFi on but the others turned off. Your new battery will need to be stretched and will do so within the next month or so of use. Then it will have lots of power depending on use.
Leave it turned off.
