Swiss and Belgian media reported Thursday that survivors of the crash claimed the driver had reached to change a disc on the onboard entertainment system shortly before the crash.
I read in the Dutch paper that the autopsy has shown so far that the driver was not drunk (had no alcohol in his blood), had no medical issues, did not suffer from a heart attack, and was healthy.
Video footage from the bus shows that he was not distracted by changing a DVD, as the rumours said. He driving below the max speed, and he did not hit the left wall.
So far, it is still a mystery as to what happened...
Sounds like a steering problem to me. I was involved in an accident once (not driving) when something in the mechanism snapped and the car veered off to the left. Very sudden and unexpected. Thankfully not in a tunnel where it could be a disaster.
Strange crash.
My thoughts are with all the people affected...
RIP...
It was a Swiss Roll.
It was a Swiss Roll.
Just... too soon...
