I can at least understand how it could happen, the owners listed the cat on their census and somehow the info got entered as if it was their child or something. BUT, then they let the court know that Sal was a cat and the request to have him disqualified from jury service was denied! Holy Sh1t, this is one of the stupidest things I heard in awhile.

Excuses, excuses. Get off your ass, put a tie on the cat and get him down to the courthouse. You can't have a kangaroo court without a cat!

The deliberations probably would have ended much sooner if one of the jurors hadn't decided on taking a 16-hour long nap.

With my sense of humor I would bring the cat to the court house and be be very insistent, as per the jury duty request form, that Sal should sit on the jury.

If they want to be stupid enough to insist that he should be there I would shove it in their face and watch the embarrassment.

I agree, I would definitely go down there with my cat and insist she be considered to be on the jury and watch those idiots turn red in the face.

And then accuse them of racism when they turn you down!

Sal probably has a higher IQ than some of the other jury members.

    Ha ha, win.

So, jokes aside, what the hell is going to come from this? A miss trial?
