Don Cherry, clad in a shockingly pink floral jacket, set the tone at Mr. Fords investiture Tuesday with a three-minute introductory speech that lambasted pinkos, bike riders and the left-wing media.

Rob Ford is an idiot. Case in point: he was the only one there who would not expect Don Cherry to make a belligerant speech. How does anyone who knows something about Don Cherry not think he was a belligerant person? This is a guy who openly advocates fist fighting in hockey!

Did you read the article? Ford said right after Don Cherry's speech that he did not expect him to go off like he did. Everyone else knew it was a bad idea and were not surprised at all. Even Don Cherry calls out Rob Ford's ignorant reaction at the end of the article!

Watched the relevant item on CTV.

Of course denied knowing, would you expect him to react any differently?

Rob Ford has to learn if he wants to be a good mayor of the city of Toronto to take responsibility for the consequences of his decisions, Councillor Gord Perks said. He made a decision to put a particular person up to set the tone for the term of council and what a tone we got.

It was like bring on the clowns, Councillor Pam McConnell added.

    Well put.

Cherry and Ford are 2 peas in a pod: big mouth under-educated idiots who actually celebrate their ignorance and have little valuable to say except on the subject of sports. Sad that some think the latter is the sole quality of good leadership,

And he appeals to geniuses like you - isn't it beer and popcorn time for ya'?

Ford is a dumb clown - Cherry is a mindless cheerleader - it's a match made in asshat heaven. You're getting what you voted for, Toronto.

Why did people suddenly start caring what Don Cherry has to say anyway? I hope SH gives him his senate seat already.

Roman, you should worry about who's running city hall where you live.

Cherry may be a buffoon but his sentiment was bang-on. I love watching Adam Vaughn and McConnell squirm. The disinherited far left weeps at the choice of the people.

    Such is life.

    Dalton you are next.

His sentiments about "pinkos" is dead on? Really? That's a sad commentary on the level of political discourse leveled by those of his ilk.

Dalton? Tim? Really? Good luck with that goof.
