You have to laugh... an American saying that Canadians are "too patriotic".

We have an American friend who makes the same complaint. One of her examples of it is the number of people who put Canadian flags on their luggage/backpacks when on vacation. I don't think she realizes that it's sometimes both Canadians & Americans doing that...

I suppose the most appropriate response to this would be thank you. I'm not sure how to respond to the last sentence, other than that I know and that I agree.

Sadly, this is just another in the long line of anti-Canadian crap that bubbles up out of the US every once and while (such as the shite Tucker Carlson, Ann Coulter and Bill O'Reilly spout whenever we don't do exactly as they want).
I love that stuff. Makes me feel so virtuous when those morons get spouting. The best was being called Canukistan (what was that guy's name again - ran for pres?) I thought we should change our name for that one. I mean if we're getting rightwingnut Americans pissed off at us, we must be doing something right.
