Isn't it funny how during his campaign all he talks about is Canada doing fine, economy going strong. Good this, good that. Since if anything bad happened, it would be blaimed on him because he was the previous PM.

Now that hes elected, it's all bad this and bad that. The economy is shit, we are going into a recession. More bad news.

What part about "we are a pimple on the ass of the USA" do you not understand?

When the USA has better news then it will better in Canada, regardless who is at the helm. It's just the dippers and liberals that can't understand we cannot spend our way out of this, oh unless you give the $$$ to the states.

You probably went through the last one like I did,
You find it funny how some of the younger posters dont understand what exactly it is the world is going through?

They think they got it bad now, they didnt live through 21% interest rates in the early 80's.

Some people are in for one huge mothafucking wake up call. Compared to the last one, were doing ok so far.

They'll soon be lining up to apply for those Walmart and Mcds jobs
I was fortunate in the early 80's to have a part time job pumping gas or stocking shelves at Shoppers Drug Mart for just above minimum wage. When I was in the 12th grade a friend and I started our own company , we looked after all the friggen houses the bank repoed , cutting the lawns in the summer and shoveling the sidewalks in the winter.

Now, motivation - something that the younger generation hasn't experienced enough. Perhaps this recession/depression will be an eye-opener.

Oh, don't be so negative - it's our level of expectation that we should raise. If that's what they think you expect, I'm sure most will be able to deliver.

That's the BEST news on the economy I've heard yet! Since Harper hasn't said one thing that's been true yet, that oughtta mean sunny economic skies ahead!

I'm going to be watching to see how military service will correct Bacardi's devotion to the NDP. All the talk of "workers control the means of prodution" and "the struggle of the urban proletariat" just sort of fall apart when you have to crall through the mud because someone else says so.
