Omg I am going to cry right now, this is perfect!

The Government want's to help the automotive sector and increase jobs that this will do.

With the addition of also getting the military some much needed equipment.

$1.2 billion dollars, we give Quebec like 8 Billion. If they seperate, we can spend that cash on something usefull like the Military.

    This would be a win-win.

This would be awesome. Please tell me the plan includes provisions to replace the LS (hopefully as soft targets on a range, to refurbish the Coyotes, and Start producing models of the LAV-H concept. Home built Leo-2s are me dreaming, but woul be ncie too.

This could be a great time to be armoured. PDT_Armataz_01_41

They still have those wastes of metal? Those things are the biggest pieces of crap. But you are right, they would make great targets

During my training I got one of the three vehicles that didn't have squeaky brakes. 8)

This thread has nothing about Quebec separation, still it is so nice of you to point it out.

Perhaps you should have a shot of Bacardi rum or something.

Aside from what we already make, most of these are probably a few years away and canada is likely to recover by then. Their talking of starting up the shipyards agains and that should suck money at a fantastic rate even before we get anything built.

I'd love to see it but something like a few high speed train lines might be more practical.

    ROTFL

All kidding aside, this is actually a pretty cool thing. And the fact that it is kept in Canada along with the supplies, all for it.

One thing I liked about the chev trucks we had before the LS was being such a common truck, you could find parts for it in any parts store or junkyard in North America if you needed to and probably have a good chance of finding some many other places in the world. Where you going to find parts for an LS on the fly?

chevs were an all-around better vehicle too.

Persoanlly I feel the next Light support vehicle we get should be a modular vehicle with some sort of protetion from mines and up to .50 cal rounds. Modular in the sense that everything behind the engine block and above the frame can be interchanged from something liek a 6-8 man personel carrier (much like an SUV)to a 2 man pickup with an 8 foot box. to the same pickup cab but with an assortment of electronic and weapons mods that coudl be stuck on the frame.

Hope the thing has alot more ground clearance and bigger wheels than the LS aswell... and a 300hp engine. Being able to do highway speeds would be a nice touch.

The LAV-25 I used to drive around in had squeaky brakes and an assortment of other shortcomings. Our TSgt. took donations and for less than $1k got it fixed up just dandy with parts from truck and auto supply stores. It's amazing what can be done when you don't have to f*ck around with supply.
