Pirates near Somalia chased and shot at a U.S. cruise liner with more than 1,000 people on board but failed to hijack the vessel, a maritime official said Tuesday.

    My buddy is working on one of these ships. He says he was not on this one, the one that was shot at, but he saw it go down.

    its rapidly going to come to the point where Ships are going to have to have armed security forces on the ship, to prevent these acts of piracy.
