Im going to need a helmet now after banging my head against the wall. Why is it ok for a Sikh to bend the rules but everyone else has to follow them?

Anyone who doesnt want to wear a helmet should have to sign a water tight waiver, so no one can come back and sue the league, players, families, refs, zamboni drivers...hell throw concession in there too. They also should endure all medical costs, in the event of injury. And then play with no helmet, if the coach sees the costs him or his family could face, he might change his mind.

    Um, because it's religious? :?

But I do agree with TattooedGirl, there should a water-tight policy to prevent any liabilities.

"The granting of such an application will require the applicant to provide a signed BC Hockey Helmet Policy Waiver form to participate in any BC Hockey sanctioned activity."

Been done but it's still bullshit.

That rule was put in place for a reason. I'm getting real sick of legitimate safety rules being altered because someone cries and throws a tantrum.

Don't want to wear a helmet? Stay off the ice. Period.

Playing hockey is a freakin priviledge, not a right! Play by the goddamned rules, and if you can't, for whatever reason, stay the hell out!

    Unbelievable...

1000% behind you tattoodgirl...but you know the reality of this is going to be, this guy, or another sikh will walk on the ice with his skate guards on, give himself one hell of a concussion and successfully sue the league, the owners of the rink, the municipality, the makers of the skates, the makers of the skate guards....and yes of course...the concession vender's.

so sad....i am becoming disillusioned with this country more and more with every law bent.
