Eight properties in Agassiz, B.C., have been evacuated because of concerns about the stability of the cliffs behind them after a massive boulder recently came tumbling down.

    It would seem these boulders are taking revenge for that one hit by those errant drivers in that Calgary parking lot. Rock on.....

    When I first moved here we were pressured to buy the last installer's lakeshore home. Went to look and noticed, it was on a beach with the cliff held back by a massive log barrier. No thanks!
    Amazingly the cliff hasn't collapsed in the 30 years since, though the lake rose twice and carried away the docks and the front lawn. Also because of the cliff and it's the end of the road there's no local tv, no Internet or cable service, and you can't even line up a satellite from that lot! Plus 7 months staring at a frozen lake....
